Once again the USAC sprints &
midgets invaded Attica Raceway Park for the first leg of the Mopar Buckeye
Nationals. A little different than the norm for me, but cool nonetheless.
The non-winged warriors put on a pretty decent show. Local runners who
took off the wing for this one include non-wing veteran and current All
Star Bill Rose, Rob Chaney, Byron Reed, Matt Alloway, Mike Brecht, Matt
Lucius, David Harrison and Tony Beaber. Others who showed up as fans included
Kenny, Lee & Dean Jacobs, Brad Doty, A. J. Sleek, Bryan Scott, Dave
Durnwald, Scott Kraylek in his brother's push truck, Johnny Auxter, Jim
Ford, Rick Ferkel, Paul Dewald Jr., Caleb Griffith, TJ Slideways and the
infamous Coach Bob.

Tony Beaber was one of 2 locals to
make the feature, and he ran very well.
Rob Chaney won last year's event
but missed the show this time around.
