Israel F. Hartsell Rites Tomorrow


Services for Israel F. Hartsell, 80, of 1464 Oakwood Avenue, who died Saturday in his home after a short illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Leon funeral home with the Rev. H. H. Creager officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Hartsell, a Toledo resident for 30 years, was a member of the I. O. O. F. and Hoytsville, O., lodge, Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his wife, Etta; daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Pileggi and Mrs. Gladys Ryno; son, Maurice McLaughlin; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.



NOTE: Israel was born in Tiffin to Reuben & Leanda (Strauss) Hartzell in 1854.
He changed the spelling of HARTZELL sometime after 1880.
He operated a grocery & confectionary store in Toledo for a number of years.
His only natural child was Gladys, and she had no children.
Israel Hartsell has no living decendents.
