Services were conducted by the Rev. John H. Flynn at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Defiance for Mrs. Victor (Margaret A.) Hartzell, 58. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, there.

Mrs. Hartzell died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 28, 1973, of injuries recieved in an auto accident on Route 24 west of Waterville.

A native of Port Clinton, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Valentic.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Hartzell, a native of Tiffin; daughters, Mrs. Fay (Joanne) Greene and Mrs. Norman (Rita) Hasselschwert; sons, Victor Jr., John, Gerald, Donald, Stephen and Roger; brothers, Andrew, George and Peter Valentic; a sister, Miss Mary Valentic; half brothers, Otto and Franklin Masters; and 19 grandchildren.
