EPILOGUE

The shadows were listing
causing but a vague background,
Showing merely their gray,
With hardly sight and never sound.

But they were felt
and their timing a sign
for those cognizant,
Whose recognition bore no time.

A familiar face hovers near
…a sigh released,
bundled with security and welcome,
and the warmth of love increased.

Emotion surged through the gaze –
The mouth composing an exquisite psalm,
as she spoke with the fervor of a child,
"…………………..I love you, Mom!”

(Chosen from the anthology of her brother Tim's poems.)
